The effect of the frequency-dependent (dynamic) shear modulus on the amplitude and phase of Earth tides is calculated. It is shown that dynamic shear modulus corrections to the tidal phases are completely negligible. A practically reasonable increase of accuracy of tidal measurements, however, would detect the influence of dynamic shear modulus on the amplitude of gravity tide.
