Adjustment of the frequencies at which real heights are computed provides a second-order correction for the linear lamination method of ionogram analysis. Frequency adjustment proves to be a simpler technique than analysis using parabolic laminations, and is superior in stability. However, the method of offset real height frequencies is not as accurate as polynomial techniques.
