We present results of in-situ analyses of U-Pb dating of 12 glass
spherule from Apollo 17 lunar soil samples, using the Sensitive High
Resolution Ion MicroProbe (SHRIMP). Our results indicate that there was
a volcanic event near the collection site ~2.7Ga ago.
