In the investigation particular attention is given to the absorption cross sections of the nuclear reaction resulting in the transformation of Cl-37 into Ar-37, taking into account the significance of the cross sections for questions regarding the neutrinos that are produced in the various nuclear reactions taking place in the sun. The nuclear reactions involving neutrinos are discussed along with questions concerning the detection of the solar neutrinos. Absorption cross sections reported by various authors are considered in connection with the pronounced discrepancy which exists between theoretical and experimental data for solar neutrinos.
