We present new experimental results on the implantation of 13Cn+ (n =2, 3) ions at an energy of 30 keV in water ice at low temperatures (15 and 80 K). The results indicate that implantation produces H2O2, and 13CO2. The results are discussed in the light of their relevance to understand the effects of the variegated irradiation environments the icy Galilean moons are embedded in.
