Inferences on the response of the APV-N antenna of Vega-2 to plasma clouds induced by dust particles are drawn. It is found that electric impulses were most generated by impacts of particles larger than about 10 exp -9 on the whole spacecraft. In the case of large particle impacts the impulse amplitude was weakly dependent on the particle mass, and the antenna response to the impact plasma depended on the ambient plasma parameters. The sensitivity to impacts is shown to decrease when the impact rate becomes quasi-continuous.
