After the brief presentation of the WURM project we focus on the potential to use the WURM database for identifying minerals based on their Raman signatures. We discuss at length the position of particular peaks associated with structural units, like the H2O molecules or CO2- 3 SO2- 4 , PO3- 4 , etc anionic groups and the effect particular isotopic substitutions can have on the spectra. We analyze the behavior of the spectra along solid solutions, based on an alchemical pseudopotential technique.
