The ROTSE sky survey discovered two optical transients in 2007 November, ROTSE3 J031031.4+431115.0 and ROTSE3 J113709.0+513451.1. Both objects have a faint blue counterpart in either the USNO-B1.0 or the SDSS photometric surveys, and were tentatively classified as cataclysmic variables. Here we report medium-resolution WHT spectroscopy which reveals that both objects have hydrogen Balmer emission lines. We thus confirm that both objects are faint cataclysmic variables which were caught in outburst by ROTSE.
