The long term frequency stability of hydrogen masers is degraded by the drifts of the resonant cavity. The authors have developed an auto-tuning system for tuning the resonance cavity. The experimental results show that the auto-tuning system allows frequency stability of 2×10-14 for a period of 1 day. The system, the properties of the closed loop, and the experimental results are described in detail in this paper.
