The absolute resonance strengths of the 28-30Si(p,γ)29-31P reactions have been studied. New values for the frequently used standard resonances at Ep = 370, 416 and 620 keV in the above reactions, respectively, have been determined. In addition, the strengths of the 28Si(p,γ)29P resonances at Ep = 1381, 1652 and 2088 keV and of the four dominant 30Si(p,γ31P resonances at Ep = 499, 777, 942 and 983 keV have been determined. The branching ratios and angular distributions of the γ-rays used in the determinations were obtained in the same experimental set-up as the strength measurements. Using these revised resonance strengths, the astrophysical reaction rates of hydrogen burning of 29 ,30Si in explosive carbon burning have been deduced. The reaction rates found for hydrogen burning of 28-30Si in the stellar temperature region of T = (0.3-10)× 109K are compared with Hauser-Feshbach calculations.
