We are pursuing a wide range of hydrodynamics experiments in the areas of inertial confinement fusion, high energy-density physics, and astrophysics, using the Nova, PetaWatt, Falcon, and Omega lasers. Our research encompasses the hydrodynamics at ablation fronts, at embedded interfaces, shock initiated versus driven by protracted acceleration, in planar and in nonplanar geometries, both in the linear and in the nonlinear regimes. Most of the samples under study are in the plasma state, but we have a new initiative to investigate the "hydrodynamics" of the solid state. An overview of our work will be given, emphasizing common themes, and scale transformations between regimes.
