The interaction between the Alfven and fast magnetosonic waves and the magnetospheric plasma is analyzed. Quasi-linear interaction of these waves with electrons and induced scattering on background ions have been considered. Moments of integrals of collisions between waves and particles have been taken into account within the framework of the 16-moment approximation Grad method. The effect of wave activity on the forming of anisotropic temperature and the existence of longitudinal drift waves in an inhomogeneous plasma are discussed.
