Data from the solar observation satellite Yohkoh, meaning sunbeam or sunlight, are presented with emphasis on the results from its Soft X-ray Telescope (SXT). The highly dynamical and transient nature of the coronal magnetic fields revealed by SXT is changing the views of the solar corona and behavior of magnetized plasma in general. Some of the initial discoveries are presented. The observations indicate that solar corona can be considered as a self organized critical system. SXT discovered numerous transient brightenings in active regions. SXT observations of solar flares are summarized.
