Operation of telescopes on space borne platforms face a unique class of difficulties associated with operations involving acquisition of non-distinct or moving target and the subsequent high accuracy pointing for a longer time span. This paper describes an instrument setup in details, discuss how milli-arcsecond accuracy attitude recovery is achieved as well as presents open and closed loop tracking concepts with relaxed mechanic constraints. Finally, ground tests supporting the proposed methods are presented.
