We study a mechanism for the energy loss in the core of a star via the Compton-like process γe --> φr*e with the virtual Higgs boson φr* turning into a pair of Goldstone bosons JJ that carry away the thermonuclear energy. An astrophysical constaints upon the coupling is derived. The bound is loose enough that the decay mode H --> JJ can well be the dominating channel in the hidden Higgs models.
