This proposal maps the HI intensity field on large angular scales in the H75 configuration. It is intended as a valuable back-up project for high frequency observations using this configuration. In the compact configuration, the array can directly map the cosmological large scale structure without detecting individual galaxies, allowing the use of the sum of all unresolved galaxies. This substantially extends the range and effective sensitivity of ATCA. When deployed over a large fraction of sky, it would allow a measurement of Baryon Acoustic Oscillations. This semester's goal is to test the feasibility of this approach on an interferometer.
