For clusters of galaxies, the authors explore how the luminosity
function, or the dwarf-to-giant ratio (DGR), varies with cluster
characteristics. The study of individual clusters revealed that the DGR
generally increased outwards, that is the dwarf population was more
spatially spread out than the giant population.
