We report a recent calculation of the heavy quarkonium energy levels and
decay widths in a quark- gluon plasma whose temperature is much smaller than
the inverse radius of the bound state, based on a Non-Relativistic Effective
Field theory framework for heavy quarkonium at finite temperature. Relevance
for the phenomenology of the Y(1S) in heavy ion collisions is also discussed.
