Consideration is given to the quantization rules for N = 2 supersymmetric matter and Yang-Mills theories. The harmonic approach to extended supersymmetry is introduced to construct the analytic superspace delta functions and the Green functions for the hypermultiplet and the N = 2 Yang-Mills superfields. The gauge fixing is described annd the relevant Faddeev-Popov ghosts are defined. It is found that the harmonic superspace quantization of the N = 2 gauge theory is relatively simple and has many parallels with standard (N = 0) Yang-Mills theory. In particular, no ghosts-for-ghosta are required. The most general self-couplings of hypermultiplets including those with broken SU(2) are also considered. Duality relations are established among the N = 2 linear multiplet and the different hypermultiplets.
