Central to our laboratory investigations are the atomic and molecular interactions leading to molecular formation in the interstellar medium (ISM). Our programme of experiments aims to comprehend the processes involved in grain-surface chemistry, namely adsorption mechanisms of atoms, molecules and radicals, dynamics of the heterogeneous catalysis reactions, and finally desorption processes. Implications for the physics and chemistry of the ISM are also of major concern to us insofar as they are involved in phenomena spanning from star formation to molecular precursors of life. In addition to this talk which summarizes the results obtained during two years, four posters from our laboratory are presenting more detailed explanations of each of the topics presented here.
