In situ observations of the turbulent solar wind directly measure the power spectra of the magnetic and electric field fluctuations down to scales smaller than the ion gyroradius. The gyrokinetic formalism is a suitable approach to capture the low-frequency, collisionless phenomena thought to be important in the solar wind, including heating through the Landau resonance. We present preliminary, nonlinear gyrokinetic simulations of the turbulent cascade in the solar wind through the scale of the ion gyroradius. We also discuss detailed quantitative comparisons with measured power spectra.
