Although photometric surveys have been used to great success in identifying members of embedded star clusters, significant uncertainty surrounds the mapping of broadband photometry with masses and ages of the stars. We will survey three very dense star formation regions with the NICMOS G141 grism to obtain low-resolution spectra of a large number of the embedded objects. The resolution of the grism data will be sufficient to permit spectral classification of even the lowest mass members of the clusters. To maximize the multiplex advantage of the grism, we have selected three very dense clusters: the Trapezium cluster, NGC 2024, and NGC 2264.
