We implement the effects of gravitational backreaction on the calculation of the string radiation rate. We find that the waveform amplitude decays with the string energy while the power remains constant. We notice that the burst radiation emitted from cusps is highly anisotropic. A rough estimate of the radiation waveform spectrum |h+(ω)|,|h×(ω)| is computed numerically.
