The conversion of a plane gravitational wave to electromagnetic radiation in the presence of the fair weather electric field of the earth-ionosphere resonator is examined. The spatial and frequency characteristics of the induced electromagnetic field of the earth-ionosphere resonator are investigated in the range of Schumann resonance frequencies (10-100 Hz). Numerical estimates of the electromagnetic field amplitudes are obtained, and the possibilities offered by a natural gravitational wave detector are discussed.
