We present a numerical study on scattering effects of a massive core in an elliptical galaxy. The core is of a spherical Dehnen type with a central black hole. This core is imbeded in a triaxial Kuzmin-Kutuzov outer galaxy potential, which by itself is separable and hence features regular motion. This way we isolate chaotic effects of the central mass. We compute the relaxation times for a representative sample of orbits at different energy levels using Laskar's numerical analysis of fundamental frequencies method.
