The GOMOS instrument will provide world-wide daily mapping of the ozone
concentration by the observation of spectra attenuation of stars setting
behind the atmosphere. The instrument optics consist of two
spectrometers and two fast photometers fed by a fixed Cassegrain
telescope and mounted behind a steerable flat mirror.
