Gödel-type spacetimes in an Einstein - Cartan theory of gravitation are reconsidered by supposing that the curvature source contains an electromagnetic field in addition to a Weyssenhoff - Raabe fluid. The electromagnetic field can be interpreted as sourceless or as resulting from the rotation of a charged fluid and, in both cases, it implies spacetime homogeneity. It is also found that there is a class of hyperbolic spacetimes for which charged test particles can reach regions inaccessible to neutral particles or even photons.
