We have conducted a deep ((mu)_g ≲ 24) imaging survey using the WIYN 4-m telescope, the UH 88-inch telescope, and the 2.5m Nordic Optical Telescope (NOT) to search for giant arcs behind the richest clusters identified in the Gpc^3 cosmological volume of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). By imaging over 200 massive clusters this ongoing survey has uncovered some of the most dramatic examples of gravitational lensing ever discovered. Similar to `poster-child' lenses like Abell 1689 and CL0024+1654, these new lensing systems exhibit multiple bright arcs at large angular separations. We propose to use GMOS on Gemini-North to determine the redshifts of 30 arcs behind our 10 most dramatic lenses. When combined with the Einstein radii of the arcs, these redshifts will pinpoint the mass and distribution of the dark matter on (comoving) scales R < 200hkpc. The larger scale (R 1-5hMpc) weak gravitational lensing shear has been measured for four of our cluster targets in an ongoing deep wide-field multicolor imaging program at Subaru. The synthesis of GMOS arc redshifts with weak and strong lensing will allow us to measure the shape and density profile of the dark matter on (comoving) scales 200hkpc < R < 5hMpc for a statistical sample of lensing clusters, providing a powerful test of the (Lambda)CDM paradigm.
