In this paper we investigate the long-period DP-1 and DP-2 geomagnetic variation effects in the radiation belts is investigated. These variations redistribute effectively the trapped radiation in inner and outer magnetosphere. We use the Molniya-1 satellite data to demonstrate the DP-2 variations influence on radiation belt particles. The quasi-periodic (a few hours) variations of the relativistic electron intensity in a geosynchronous orbit are analyzed on the basis of the GOES measurements and ACE interplanetary data. The relation of the above variations to common features of geomagnetic storms is also discussed.
