Results of X-ray and optical observations of the AM Her star H0139-68 during its low state at V = 17 to 18 are reported. The data are consistent with accretion onto one active pole. The most probable geometry of the system is characterized by an inclination of i = 25 deg, and a magnetic colatitude of 98 deg. Spectrophometry reveals Zeeman absorption features near H alpha and H beta. For a dipole field, the implied polar field strength is 39 MG.
