The potential capabilities of the Baksan laser-interferometric system as a gravitational-wave detector are analyzed, taking geographical and geometrical factors into account. Three possible configurations of the system are examined, and it is concluded that the geographic location of the system is favorable for carrying out gravitational-wave experiments. In addition, it is concluded that this system can be successfully incorporated into the worldwide network of gravitational-wave observatories.
