A method is proposed for simulating the Dst variations of a magnetospheric storm from data on the regime of various types of geomagnetic pulsations at midlatitudes. The method is based on analysis of the relationship between pulsations and ring-current growth and decay processes. This method is as accurate as that based on the use of interplanetary data.
