Progress is reported in the following areas: (1) consideration of silica in excess of stoichiometry in lunar feldspars; (2) calculation of equilibration temperatures for meteorites and lunar samples; (3) investigation of the effect of rapid crystallization in lunar mare basalts on element partitioning; and (4) development of a technique for suppressing oxide interference during mass spectrometric analysis for rare earth elements.
