It has been first established that the optical pumping of cesium vapor
by pulse dye laser, tunable within the range 17020 cm1 -
19200 CM-1 and 20150 cm-1 - 21390 cm-1,
lead to the powerful stimulated IR radiation on several atomic
transitions. The mechanism of this phenomenon has been suggested.
