It is noted that Venus belongs to a group of bodies in which the magnetized-plasma flux interacts directly with the ionized shell. An induced magnetosphere is formed in this interaction with a magnetic barrier on the dayside and an extended magnetotail on the nightside. A theoretical analysis indicates that the currents excited in the interaction between the magnetized-plasma flux and a conducting barrier are connected with the effect of a Lorentz electric field.
