Broadband electrostatic noise (BEN) is usually observed in the boundary region of the plasma sheet in the magnetotail. In order to explain the generation of the high-frequency part of the BEN spectrum by numerical methods, an investigation of the 3D quasi-linear equations describing the nonlinear dynamics of the development of ion-beam acoustic instability is carried out. It is confirmed that this HF part of the BEN spectrum in the boundary region of the plasma sheet is indeed conditioned by the development of ion-beam acoustic instability.
