The equilibrium equations for rotating heterogeneous and anisotropic ellipsoids are generalized here by introducing a nonlinear velocity field in the tensor form of the virial theorem. The Dedekind adjoint configurations are considered, recovering the Dedekind theorem in this more general case. A stability analysis is made concerning the odd and even modes of oscillation that belong to the second harmonic. The characteristic equations are derived and the general algorithms for their solutions are given.
