The literature is full of a large number of accretion flow models, each of which claims to be the correct one. We present here the most general possible flow configuration around a black hole, different regions of which have characteristics of different models such as the Bondi flow, the Keplerian disk, the transonic flows, the thick disks, the disks with jets/outflows etc. We present recent observational results and use them to rationalize such a generalized solution. Our solution is likely to be applicable to all types of black hole candidates, from stellar mass (nano-quasars) to super-massive (quasars and active galaxies) variety.
