ALWAY1 has proposed a transformation which should be a generalization of the well known Lorentz transformation in special relativity. The new transformation was derived without the usual supposition of space homogeneity. Here I discuss briefly some consequences of the proposed transformation, quoting experiments which support the Lorentz transformation. It seems that the new transformation is not physically significant, although it may be of mathematical interest.
