Using Geant4 Monte Carlo simulation code, background gamma rays for Gamma Ray Spectrometer onboard SELENE were estimated. Gamma ray emissions from the spacecraft body by leakage neutrons from the Moon and GCR protons were calculated as well as ones from the Moon. It is found that a BGO background reduction system works so well that the background gamma rays produced from the spacecraft body is small in the energy spectrum to be observed by the spectrometer in SELENE.
