The telescope consisting of a gas proportional dE/dx chamber, equivalent to 1 μm thick Si, and of a surface barrier Si-Au detector having an effective surface area of 200 mm2 is described. The telescope has been used for the measurement of partial cross-sections of (n, α) reactions induced by 3 MeV neutrons on the 95Mo and 143Nd nuclei.
