Interstellar Clouds: Molecular Processes
Scientific paper
New methods for studying the rates of low-temperature gas-phase chemical reactions between electrically neutral species are reviewed. It shows a plot of rate constant against temperature for CN+C2H6. The information gained at temperatures as low as 13K poses new questions about the factors which control chemical reactivity and provides important clues about molecular synthesis in interstellar clouds.
