Kinematic and morphological data for our Galaxy require models that take full account of a third integral. This paper concentrates on third integrals which are actions. These enjoy important advantages over other third integrals and can be calculated for most numerically-integrated orbits by spectral techniques. The structure of the halo and disk of the Galaxy is explored in the space (J-space) of these actions.
