The Centaurus cluster of galaxies contains a spectacular example of galaxy destruction, a giant plume of stellar debris over 100 kpc in length. We propose deep multicolor images with the CTIO 4m 8K Mosaic to investigate the contents of this plume, complementing our HST imaging program, and enabling a cluster-wide search for additional tidal debris to very faint levels. H(alpha) imaging is also proposed to characterize the youngest star forming tidal debris. The images will also be useful for a general exploration of the galaxies in Centaurus, a cluster experiencing a particularly violent merger with a large subcluster.
