The study extends earlier calculations of mergers between pairs of similar galaxies (White, 1978). A large number of numerical simulations is used to study galaxy collisions and the structure of the resulting merger remnants. New models are discussed relative to computational methods and initial conditions, mergers of rotating objects, the density structure of merger remnants, the internal velocity structure of merger remnants, as well as the rotation and flattening of merger remnants. Results are presented and conclusions drawn.
