The principal features of the modernized Yakutsk facility for studying
the pulse shape of Cerenkov light are described. The pulse half-width is
plotted against the shower intensity and against the distance from the
shower axis. The shape of Cerenkov pulses is calculated within the
framework of the scaling model.
