The high resolution infrared emission spectrum of BeF2 was observed. The fundamental antisymmetric stretching mode and numerous hot bands were found near 1550/cm by Fourier transform spectroscopy. Eight vibration-rotation bands were rotationally analyzed and the spectroscopic constants are reported. The equilibrium beryllium fluorine distance was found to be 1.372 9710(95) A in BeF2.
