The rate of the formation of the Cl-36 isotope in different channels of
nuclear reactions is estimated, and a comparison of the total rate of
their formation with Cl-36 radionuclide content in natural samples is
presented. The spalling reaction on argon remains the chief source of
the global formation of Cl-36.
