The HST focus drifts slowly and perhaps undergoes slips of a few microns at random times. Focus monitoring programs can provide evidence of a likely problem with the focus, but do not provide sufficient data upon which to act in a short period of time. This two orbit program obtains a large amount of high signal to noise focus data sufficient for accurately defining the HST focus. This is a test version of a program to execute before the target, M35 goes into the Sun on 2 May 2000. The Cycle 9 version of this program will be structured as a ToO to be executed as needed perhaps once or twice a year with ~3 week warning.
