Focal mechanism solutions, derived by using P-wave first motion directions read from seismograms of Worldwide Standardized Stations Network (WWSSN), are presented for 36 earthquakes in Iran. In many cases the first motion data admit more than one solution. These solutions, along with previously published solutions for 18 other earthquakes, are graphically summarized on a tectonic map of Iran.
